Floral design that stays in season

Imported stems arrive tired and cost three times what the local market charges for something in full season. The difference is visible from the second row.

Give your florist a palette and a feeling rather than a list of varieties. The list will change with the week’s market; the palette will not.

Height matters more than volume. Two tall arrangements read better across a long table than eight small ones, and they cost less to build.

Plan what happens to the flowers afterwards before the day, not during the pack-down. Installations designed to be dismantled can be replanted, donated or reused the following week.
